We got our fitness on. Ha. So, after church tonight me and a bunch of friends decided to hit up the gym for a little late night fun! Lyndsey, Taylor, Gabe, Joe, and I pretty much had the gym to ourselves and had a blast. I haven’t laughed that hard in a LoNg while. Haven’t seen Gabe in a Really Long time, so it was nice to catch up.
My graduation is tomorrow!!! I’m SuPeR excited :0) I only have a few things left to do.. I think I’m going to get a new dress for it, nail time with linds, and then I have to do some work for P.Mike.
This year has gone by in a flash, everything just seemed like a blur. I’m excited to see what next year brings!! My Africa prep is going well. I have a meeting with Kass tomorrow to talk about Logos. Still haven’t bought my ticket yet :0( a few more things have to be figured out on which path they want to take. So patience is KEY! ha. I’m trying…
aLL for YoU.
When I feel exhausted or aggravated, I quickly remember it’s all for the Kingdom’s cause. I have Never worked harder or put more time into serving God than I have this past year….. The Sunday services had come to an end and the final May missions team meeting had started. Sitting in that meeting today I revisited the emotions and situations I faced back in April after my trip to Swazi. Quickly learning that I’m a “post processor”, ha, realizing that even Christians don’t understand what a person goes through spiritually, emotionally, and socially upon returning from a Great Commission unless they go on one.
While in Africa, I didn’t look at the people, their country, or the wide spread epidemic of AIDS as a hopeless situation and cry about it; Instead I saw a joy among the children, the NEXT Generation. There was no complaining of buying the newest gadget on the market, or who was wearing the latest designer purse. They would laugh and play as if there wasn’t a care in the world, they weren’t couped up inside all day playing pointless video games or sleeping till 3 o’clock in the afternoon on a weekend. They were OUTSIDE playing as a community, brought together by circumstances we couldn’t even imagine facing here in the States. If we as Americans were capable of being content with what we have for Eternity and not what we have right now in our “microwave society”, there might be a little more Unity and clarity of the world we live in today……..
Think about it.
